These days, I see people slap a checkerboard pattern or target on something (anything), put the word ‘Mod’ in front of it, and voila, it is so.
Take THIS for example:

What makes this 'Mod'? Well, the target of course!
Personally, I think it would have been the perfect item for yesterday's hipster looking to fit in at a scooter rally and a Rush concert all in the same day (beard optional, of course).
